Join us for a unique culture + adventure experience in Himachal this Dusshera. We will witness the local Devtas of Kullu Valley in all their glory, as they come to Kullu to celebrate the festival of Dusshera. Professor Ankit Sood will lead the interaction and exclusive access into the Royal Palace, as we partake in the festivities. We will also spend time in Tirthan Valley, staying in cosy Himachali homestays and trek into the Great Himalayan National Park (a World UNESCO Heritage Site). We promise you a long weekend you will cherish forever!
The cost of the experience is Rs 15000/- and includes your stay for 3 nights in Tirthan Valley, local activities, Kullu Dusshera darshan and trek and overnight camping in Great Himalayan National Park.
Our partner for the projects is Sunshine Himalayan Adventures – an initiative by Ankit Sood & Panki Sood, two brothers who have committed the last 20+ years to conservation and eco-tourism efforts in Tirthan Valley. They have been instrumental in the Great Himalayan Park being recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and you will experience the beauty of the park first hand through a trek and overnight camp during the project.
Tirthan Valley is in Himachal Pradesh, and the way to reach this beautiful remote location is to take an overnight bus to Aut from Delhi (same route as Kullu), followed by a 2 hour road journey. We will help organise a trusted shared cab from Aut to Tirthan.
Tirthan Valley is the ideal place if you enjoy nature and are looking for some peace and quiet. The valley is one of India's best birding destinations, and the pristine water of river Tirthan will always keep you company. There are plenty of hikes and trails that you can take off on. Most of all, use your time to engage with your hosts and swap stories.
