Red Rice is grown in the rain-fed region of the Uttarakhand Himalayas. Its fibrous nature makes it a healthier option and allows you to binge without feeling too guilty.

Trishulii's products are special because they come from a 100% farmer-owned cooperative, which means the produce is grown and sold directly by small individual farmers. All the produce is grown with a lot of love, in the pure and pollution-free environment of the Himalayas, with absolutely zero chemicals, pesticides, and fertilizers.

When you shop from communities like Trishulii -

  • You consume food that is naturally grown, without any chemical inputs, and completely traceable to the source.
  • Farmers go beyond only selling to traders, and participate in the entire value chain of harvesting, sorting, packing, and finally marketing and selling their produce directly to you.
  • This directly leads to higher income for farmers and the development of business & entrepreneurship skills in rural communities.

We hope you are transported to the Himalayas, even if in spirit while enjoying your Pahadi Red Rice!

Please be assured - This product has been tested for nutrition and safety parameters, and is fully compliant with FSSAI regulations.

Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand

Trishulii is a farmer cooperative based in Uttarakhand and its main objective is to develop sustainable community-owned enterprises for rural mountain communities. Set up in July 2016 and supported by Himmotthan Society and Tata Trusts, the organisation works in 11 districts and with more than 4000 farmers.

Store in a cool dry place. Best before 10 months from the date of packaging.

Red rice takes longer to cook than white rice, but not as long as brown rice. You will need 2 1/2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice. Soak the red rice in water for about 40 minutes before cooking. (Soaking the rice in water before cooking produces a softer texture.) Drain out all the water and pressure cook for 1-2 whistles (approx 12 minutes).

Healthy + organic

Recently tried red rice from little local and it has become instant favorite in our house. Little sweet and nutty flavor when having with stired saute veggies is best choice to have.
Since it is organic it's packed with more nutritious and fibers.
Now a regular part of our meal.

Full of Awesomeness!!

Loved the red rice from little local. Unlike the filtered rice that we have everyday, everyone must replace that with the red rice which is full of nutrients and lots of health benefits! Absolutely loved the flavor and looking forward to include this in my daily meal. Thanks!

Healthy rice

I had the red rice from little local after reading the multiple health benefits of having it.
I was a bit skeptical at first but was very happy with the soft texture.
Seems to have all the necessary nutrients intact and I would recommend it strongly for every day use.
